The webinar aims to facilitate access to IP services and tools, while inspiring and motivating traditional producers worldwide through best practices in business development. Handicraft producers and other tradition based creators and innovators will team up with WIPO colleagues to share success stories and challenges in using IP. The event will touch on the following topics :

• how to promote and protect heritage-based products through trademarks, design protection, copyright and geographical indications

• how traditional creativity and innovation develops in an increasingly digital environment.

• challenges and opportunities of traditional producers in a rapidly evolving economic landscape, with presentations by institutions in charge of protecting and promoting traditional products.

The webinar will launch a series of follow-up support activities offered to registered participants.

The webinar will be held in English with translation in French and Spanish, and offered free of charge.
